The Force of Nature at Las Breñas Viewpoint
This viewpoint is the gateway to one of the most beautiful natural treasures of the island: the Protected Landscape of the Costa de Acentejo. From the Mirador Las Breñas, you have a privileged view of the rugged cliffs that protect the north of Tenerife. Here there are no soft sandy beaches in sight, but volcanic rocks, wild coves, and a sea that roars with power.
It is a perfect place to understand the island's terrain. You will see how the slopes full of "tabaibas", cardons (giant cacti), and endemic flora descend dizzily to the ocean. Towards the horizon, the silhouette of Puerto de la Cruz is drawn and, on clear days, Teide watches from afar. It is a balcony of pure peace, far from the noise of the highway.

This viewpoint is the starting point for adventures, so take note:
- For Hikers: The famous Las Breñas trail starts (or ends) right here. It is a demanding route that goes down to sea level. If you have strong legs and proper footwear, walking down through the vegetation to the coast is a brutal experience. But remember that you have to climb back up!
- Golden Sunsets: Being oriented to the northwest, the Mirador Las Breñas gifts you spectacular sunsets. The sun hides in the sea, illuminating the cliffs with orange and golden tones that contrast with the dark blue of the Atlantic.
- Binoculars in Hand: It is a great area for spotting seabirds. If you are lucky, you can see shearwaters or seagulls gliding on the thermal currents of the cliffs.
