Located in the heart of the Anaga Massif, near the picturesque hamlet of Chinamada, this natural balcony is not for the faint-hearted. Mirador de Aguaide sits on the edge of a cliff that drops vertically about 500 meters straight into the Atlantic Ocean. The feeling of immensity is brutal.
From here, you will have a privileged panoramic view of the north coast, spotting Punta del Hidalgo and the Roques de Anaga fighting against the waves. It is a place where the sea roars and the wind usually hits hard, reminding you who is in charge in nature. The path to get there is short but beautiful, surrounded by poppies and typical vegetation in spring.

- The trail is easy, but watch out: From the Chinamada plaza, it's a short walk (about 10-15 minutes) and flat. But when you reach the end, be very careful. There are few protections and the cliff is real. Don't even think about playing the hero for a selfie!
- Discover the Cave Houses: Chinamada is famous because many people still live in ancient cave houses. Take a walk around the hamlet before or after the viewpoint; it's like traveling back in time.
- Pit stop at La Cueva: Right there you have Restaurante La Cueva. It is the perfect place to try a good "escaldón de gofio" or a stew after the walk. Real homemade food.
